Viagraculture

Chump's first "official" CD release features 10 songs, including the sexually charged "Addicted To Sex," "Too Big," the observational "Living In Squalor" and "Integrity," "Money," and more. Features the "centerfold" photo of Chump's CD covergirl contest winner, Kasey, and other hot black & white photos. Seven tracks of Viagraculture were recorded in a garage, with all music played live with no instrument overdubs at all. On certain tracks ("Integrity," for example) instruments and vocals were recorded in the same day. Three tracks were recorded nearly a year later, in a friend's studio; again, no instrumental overdubs. This CD represents the true garage sound of Chump. Viagraculture is available for only $10 + $2.50 shipping.

Blue Steel Baby

Chump's follow-up to Viagraculture was recorded in a converted garage at the home of the band's friend Daniel Jones with vocals added in the Lindgren garage. The CD cover is a parody of the Beatles' Revolver, as is the title, a reference to Barney Fife's pistol. Years later, "blue steel" became a slang name for Viagra, so it's also a fitting follow-up to Viagraculture. This disc includes snippets of dialogue that show the Chump camaraderie in its purest form. It also features extras such as Lindgren's acoustic versions of "Drunk" and "Rid of You" as recorded for 98 Rock. The tour-de-force performance is no doubt Chris Cooper's angry "Keep Walkin'," a raunchy, in-your-face rocker. Also featured: a special remake of "Addicted To Sex," a radio edit of "Integrity," and other tracks not available elsewhere. Only $10 + $2.50 shipping.
